Belinda contributes to the FPSC’s 2025 innovation agenda

On Monday 31st August, the Fresh Produce Safety Centre (FPSC) released a report tackling their innovation agenda moving into the future - specifically in regards to the audit process. An expert in systems and processes, our Principal Consultant Belinda Hazell made significant contributions to the development of the report.

Titled FPSC 2025 Innovation Agenda: Review of the Audit Process, the report outcomes aim to benefit growers in streamlining the audit process, by reducing time, cost and complexity.

“The FPSC, with the assistance of industry professionals and their networks, conducted a study of thirteen food safety schemes and certification bodies in Oceania, the Americas, United Kingdom and Europe to determine what innovations are being applied in our region and elsewhere in the world to improve the current audit process.”

To determine next steps for industry, the FPSC is now engaging with industry through discussions on what are the top priority action areas for innovation in the audit process. To comment on the report, click here.
